Deadline Extended for Class X Admissions Story Sindh

The Sindh Department of College Education has extended the deadline for Class XI online admissions to August 31, 2024.

This extension offers a final chance for first-year intermediate students throughout the province to complete their admission applications. The College Education Department decided to extend the deadline in light of the widespread internet service disruptions that have affected the students.

Intermediate classes in colleges are set to start on September 2, 2024. The department has also ordered all college principals in Karachi to update the SECCAP portal immediately with information on absent faculty members.

Moreover, principals have been instructed to provide data on previous enrollments in the respective faculties. Last week, the provincial government decided to lower the minimum marks required for first-year intermediate admissions in government colleges.

Dr. Naveed, Director General of Colleges, announced that the cutoff marks will be reduced by 20 to 50 points at different colleges.

He stated that several colleges have increased their admission capacity, and six complaint centers have been established to manage the surge in complaints.
