Four Chinese cyclists touring Pakistan and Afghanistan faced unexpected obstacles as they attempted to enter Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
The group was stopped at the Punjab-KP border and redirected to the Attock Khurd check post. Despite efforts by senior officials from both Punjab and KP to resolve the issue, the cyclists were not granted permission to enter KP and were sent back to Punjab.
A primary reason for the denial was the absence of a no objection certificate (NOC), necessary for foreign travelers in certain regions. The cyclists were en route from Punjab to Nowshera and Peshawar when they were halted.

The decision to block the Chinese tourists has drawn criticism from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi. In a recent statement, the governor condemned the action as a serious oversight and demanded a comprehensive explanation from the involved authorities.
He characterized the refusal as a negative reflection on both the province and the country, questioning the broader implications of the decision.
